The IHOBF Make An Impression program supports youth
participation in the arts by providing resources for music and art programs
for under served youth populations in IHOBF locations. By securing donations
of musical instruments and arts supplies from corporate sponsors, the
program creates hands-on opportunities for students to learn to play a
musical instrument or create artwork. Make An Impression brings professional
musicians and artists to program settings to interact with students and
encourage interest in the arts.
The Make
An Impression Program encourages participants to "make an impression"
by expressing themselves in positive ways through the arts.
The Make An Impression Guitar Program (MAIGP)
is a national IHOBF program sponsored by Washburn International,
a leading guitar manufacturer. MAIGP offers students opportunities
to learn about music and develop guitar-playing skills. A primary
objective of the program is to reach students who would not otherwise
have the opportunity to learn to play musical instruments due to
limited funding for the arts.
