Action for the Arts Grants

Action for the Arts will support eligible youth visual and performing arts instructional programs/projects by awarding grants of up to $2,500 and providing musical instruments and equipment with a retail value of up to $2,500. Recipients of Action for the Arts grants and/or musical instruments will be invited to participate in a student performance/exhibit at a House of Blues venue.

The Fall 2011 funding cycle is now open. Applications will be accepted from November 7 through December 7, 2011.

Applicants must be:

1. Public schools and non-profit organizations with current IRS 501(c)(3) designation located in Chicago, Illinois; Cleveland, Ohio; and Clark, Lincoln, or Nye counties in Nevada.

2. Schools/non-profit organizations serving 5th-12th grade students.

3. Schools/non-profit organizations that can demonstrate a minimum of three years of history for program/project for which funding is requested.
