IHOBF - Chicago

IHOBF programs encourage youth to explore and develop their
creativity by expressing themselves in positive ways through the arts.
The IHOBF-Chicago Student Gallery presents artistic works
created by Chicago area youth in connection with IHOBF arts
educational programming.

Students from the Southside Occupational School collaborated to create the above artwork, which was inspired by a visit to the Blues SchoolHouse program.

Ms. Rebecca Miles Steiner, a student from Emerson Jr. High School in Oak Park, Illinois, won the IHOBF-Chicago Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. "Spirit of the Dream Celebration" essay contest one year with a moving essay about Dr. King’s dream of social justice and its connectionto contemporary society.
