Our Relationship with House of Blues and Live Nation

Created in 1993, International House of Blues Foundation (IHOBF) is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit public charitable organization. IHOBF is supported by House of Blues Entertainment, Inc., House of Blues Foundation Room members, Live Nation and other public and private donors.

Along with financial support, House of Blues provides in-kind contributions to IHOBF in the form of office space, professional/technical support services, and the use of its venues for Blues SchoolHouse and other IHOBF programs. House of Blues venues provide a unique and visually stimulating location for educational programming, offering music halls with state-of-the-art sound and lighting as well as access to the House of Blues art collection. With more than 5,000 pieces of original art, a large number of which were created by self-taught African American artists from the South, the House of Blues collection is one of the largest folk art collections on public display in the United States.

IHOBF appreciates the support of House of Blues, House of Blues Foundation Room members and Live Nation. However, these sources alone cannot provide all the necessary funding to support IHOBF’s efforts to bring the arts to schools and communities in IHOBF location cities across the country. IHOBF needs the support of others who value our mission, and we encourage you to contact us or click on the “Donate” button above to help support the arts.
